…it takes something special to create an organic interpretation of this symphony. 
… it’s of a simply terrifying tonal art, and Saraste let it stand in all its splendour, without overpowering horns and trombones. In the same fine way, he portrayed the extreme contrast – the following, quieter theme which is woven into the strings – with a focus on restrained expressiveness and tonal homogeneity.
